Meet Mickey Hambright

Buying or selling real estate can be one of the largest investments you make during your life time, and being comfortable with and trusting your agent is very important.  With this in mind, I thought you would like to get to know Mickey Hambright. From the pictures you can see I can clean up if needed but I must say the other photos are a better depiction of the true me. 

Born and raised in eastern North Carolina (if I sound funny - that’s why) I fell in love with these beautiful mountains early on when I spent summers at our cottage in Montreat, NC. After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BS from the Business School I moved to Asheville, NC where I resided for twenty eight years.

During this period I held various upper management positions in the aerospace industry. Twelve years ago I made a quantum decision to follow a dream - move to the country where we could enjoy our horses, have room for the dogs to roam, and the peace of mind that comes from living in and around small towns.

A major reason I entered real estate is my passion for the area and the desire to help preserve the country side and the quality of life commensurate with it. I am a people person and have always taken great pleasure interacting and helping others, and real estate provides a great medium for this. Buying or selling can be stressful times, and although I am very serious about what and how I do my job, my client’s tell me my sense of humor surely made the transaction much easier.

I have been married for forty great years, and we are most fortunate to have three college graduates living in various parts of the country. We live on a 17 acre farm where we enjoy our three horses, two dogs, three cats, and the many creatures that take homage there.

During my prior profession, I was responsible for negotiating very large multi-million dollar contracts, and I rely on this valuable experience daily. I am very detail oriented and savvy in negotiation skills. Having lived with engineers most my career, I possess abilities to be a visionary with raw land and I am quite comfortable in accessing homes and their infrastructure.

I am active in the community and a naturalist with strong convictions in preserving the quality of our area through controlled and sensible growth.
